Working with primary schools

Supporting collaboration, evidence-informed practice and learning

Primary schools within the Trust benefit from shared learning, evidence-informed practice and development opportunities designed for their context, including early years work, literacy, wellbeing, inclusion and curriculum support.

Focused on what matters most

What matters in primary contexts

We recognise the unique opportunities and pressures within primary education. Our work with primary schools is shaped by 4 key aspects

Three young children in a classroom playing with large wooden shapes, building a structure together and looking engaged and happy.

The best headstart

Strong early foundations

We support early language, literacy and learning through evidence-informed work in the early years, helping schools build strong foundations from the very start.

Supporting every learner

Inclusive practice and SEND

We work with primary schools to strengthen inclusive practice, sharing expertise, resources and professional learning that support pupils with SEND in everyday classrooms. Supported by our Trust SEND team.

Evidence informed practice

Curriculum development

We believe schools are best placed to make their own curriculum decisions. Schools are supported in curriculum development by an experienced team of Lead Practitioners from across our schools. Drawing expertise from the classroom at every stage.

Great schools need great teachers

Teacher and leadership development

Every Headteacher is supported by a School Improvement Partner. Either an Education Director or experienced Headteacher. Together they shape the professional development plan drawing on our in house programmes.

always guided by our schools

Because school context matters

Improvement and innovation at Charter is never one-size-fits-all. Our model supports schools to refine their practice in ways that match their context, priorities and the needs of their pupils. Whether through collaborative networks, leadership development or targeted support, we help schools grow with confidence.

Across all our work, our vision guides and support schools to improve:

Schools that excel

High-quality education built on strong leadership, effective teaching and inclusive practice.

People who inspire

Developing and supporting people to lead, teach and work with ambition and integrity.

‍

Partnerships that make a difference

Working with communities and employers to strengthen schools and extend opportunity for children and young people.
