The Charter School Bermondsey has soared in the recently published Fairer School Index, ranking among the top 6% of over 3,000 schools nationally.
The results, revealed exclusively by the Mirror, show the schools beating the odds to make the most significant positive impact on pupils. This groundbreaking index, devised by Prof George Leckie of the University of Bristol, goes beyond traditional league tables by considering socio-economic factors.
The Charter School Bermondsey delivers strong academic results, with recent Progress 8 scores of +0.08 and +0.29 exceeding national averages. The Fairer Schools' Index shows just how impressive these outcomes are.
Henri Murison, Chief Executive of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership, emphasised that "schools that beat the odds stacked against their pupils should be recognised as being high performing."
