Staff and students at The Charter School East Dulwich are celebrating another year of excellent GCSE and BTEC results.

The vast majority of students met or exceeded their targets, securing their chosen places at Sixth Form or College, including many who will stay on at the school into Year 12, as the Sixth Form continues to grow since it opened in 2021.

The key headlines below showcase our East Dulwich students’ dedication and achievements:

• 71% of students gained a standard pass or above in both English and Maths (Grade 4 to 9)

• 54% gained a strong pass in both English and Maths (Grade 5 to 9)

• 42% of students gained the English Baccalaureate

• 33% of all GCSEs gained by Year 11 pupils at the school were Graded 7-9

• 55% of students gained at least one GCSE with a Grade 7-9

Headteacher Alison Harbottle commented: ‘We are all extremely proud of our students. There are so many exceptional success stories from across the cohort ranging from top grades in all subjects to those who have shown fantastic resilience in the face of challenge and come out with grades well above their goals. The hard work and motivation of students, staff and families has enabled our students to thrive this year. And it’s wonderful to have so many students staying on with us into Sixth Form. We wish every one of them all the best in their next steps.‘

All of our students have something to be proud of in their outcomes and the motivation they have shown.
